Reliable Security Manpower When You Need Additional Capacity
Z Protection Services provides subcontracted security manpower to security companies, principal contractors, facility managers and other organisations requiring additional licensed personnel across Victoria.
We can support short-term shortages, contract mobilisation, leave coverage, regional requirements, events, project peaks and ongoing security contracts.
Our subcontracting arrangements are based on clear commercial terms, appropriate pricing and a proper written agreement before services commence.
We do not subcontract security manpower on one flat hourly rate across all shifts.
Award-Based Subcontracting Rates
For manpower services, our subcontracting rates are structured around the applicable Security Services Industry Award, employment costs and the actual shift being worked.
Rates may therefore vary depending on:
We will not accept a flat rate that is expected to cover ordinary hours, weekends, public holidays and overtime regardless of the underlying employment cost.
If your subcontracting model requires one fixed rate for every shift category, we are unlikely to be the right provider.
Please Discuss Rates and Terms Before Requesting Full Documentation
If you are looking for the lowest available flat rate, the work is highly uncertain, or the commercial terms have not been established, please do not request extensive compliance documents, onboarding packs and pricing schedules before discussing the opportunity with us.
We are happy to provide the necessary documentation for genuine subcontracting opportunities once the basic scope, budget and commercial terms have been established.
Proper Contract. Proper Terms.
We require a written subcontracting agreement for ongoing or significant subcontracted work.
The agreement should clearly establish the scope, rates, payment terms, cancellation conditions, minimum engagements, responsibilities of each party and any site-specific requirements.
We do not prefer arrangements where important commercial conditions are left unclear until after personnel have already been deployed.
Clear terms protect both parties and allow us to properly plan the workforce required to support the contract.
Why Subcontract With Z Protection Services?
Qualified and Experienced Personnel
We can provide appropriately licensed personnel with experience relevant to the assignment.
This may include static security officers, crowd controllers, patrol officers and personnel experienced across construction, infrastructure, retail, commercial property, hospitality, events, gatehouses and industrial environments.
We understand that holding a security licence alone does not make someone suitable for every site.
Backup Workforce
When you subcontract through Z Protection Services, you are not relying on one individual officer.
Our broader workforce allows us to provide greater continuity when an allocated officer becomes unavailable due to illness, leave or other unexpected circumstances.
Where availability permits, we can arrange replacement personnel and additional coverage without requiring the principal contractor to source another subcontractor at short notice.
Additional Manpower When You Need It
Security requirements can change quickly.
You may need additional personnel because of:
- New contract mobilisation
- Staff shortages
- Annual or sick leave
- Temporary vacancies
- Increased site activity
- Project milestones
- Events
- Short-term additional coverage
- Regional workforce shortages
We can provide supplementary personnel without requiring your organisation to permanently increase its own workforce.
Operational Support
Our subcontracted personnel remain supported by Z Protection Services management and operations.
This gives the principal contractor an additional point of contact for attendance issues, replacement staff, rostering, officer performance, incidents and unexpected manpower requirements.
This can reduce the amount of day-to-day workforce administration required from your own operations team.
Compliance-Focused Deployment
Personnel can be matched to the compliance requirements of the assignment.
Depending on the site, this may include requirements such as:
- Victorian security licence
- First Aid and CPR
- Driver licence
- Construction White Card
- Working With Children Check
- Police Check
- RSA
- Site-specific inductions
- Additional client-required competencies
Any mandatory requirements should be provided before personnel are confirmed.
Short-Term and Ongoing Subcontracting
We can consider subcontracting arrangements for both temporary and ongoing requirements.
This can include urgent workforce gaps, contract mobilisation, regular rostered coverage, regional contracts, leave replacement, event security and supplementary personnel for larger projects.
For ongoing work, we prefer to establish a stable commercial arrangement rather than renegotiating rates and conditions for every individual shift.
Commercial Expectations
We aim to build subcontracting relationships that are sustainable for both organisations.
We would rather establish expectations clearly at the beginning than create disputes after work has commenced.
We generally do not participate in arrangements involving:
- One flat rate across every shift category
- Rates that do not reasonably account for Award obligations
- Unclear payment terms
- Unconfirmed work presented as guaranteed ongoing work
- Significant onboarding requirements before commercial terms are discussed
- Unreasonable late cancellation arrangements
- Important conditions being introduced after deployment
Request Subcontracting Pricing
If you require subcontracted security manpower, send us the following information:
- Location
- Scope of work and expected duties
- Dates and shift times
- Number of personnel required
- Expected contract duration
- Required qualifications or licences
- Available budget or expected rate range
Please include your available budget or expected rate range
Please include your available budget or expected rate range with the initial enquiry.
This allows us to determine quickly whether the opportunity is commercially workable before both parties spend time on detailed pricing, documentation and onboarding.
If your budget is based on a flat rate, please make that clear from the beginning.
Once we understand the scope and commercial expectations, we can confirm availability, discuss the appropriate rate structure and provide the required subcontractor documentation.
