Yes. Z Protection Services is a licensed security provider under the Victorian Private Security Act. All of our officers hold the required Victorian security licences, including Security Guard and Crowd Controller where applicable. We also hold a Victorian Labour Hire Licence and maintain full WorkCover insurance for our staff. In addition, we are fully insured with twenty million dollars in public liability coverage.
Yes. Subscription patrols are external only. Internal checks can be added for extra charge through a customised scope if you request it in writing.
Our officer arrives in a marked patrol vehicle with Hi-Vis warning lights, conducts a full external spotlight check of your property, doors, windows, gates, and roller shutters from the outside, observes for suspicious activity, and documents each visit with photos, GPS logs, or NFC scans. A proof of service report is sent to you after every patrol or weekly/monthly.
The service itself is the same. The difference is how many times per night your site is patrolled. Single Patrol is one visit, Double Patrol is two visits at separate times, and Triple Patrol is three visits spread across the night.
Yes. Patrols can be scheduled at fixed times or randomised within your chosen time window to make visits less predictable.
You receive a digital proof of service report after each visit (daily/weekly/monthly). This includes time stamps, GPS logs, NFC checkpoint scans, officer notes, or photos. (at least one)
Our officer will immediately notify our 24/7 control room. If required, we will dispatch a local incident response unit and contact police. You will be updated straight away with a full report of the situation.
Our subscription patrols are designed for small, low-risk sites such as shops, cafes, restaurants, offices, workshops, or medical clinics. To qualify, the property should have no more than three entry or exit doors, and those doors should face no more than two streets. Larger sites with multiple access points, warehouses, or factories usually need a customised security plan instead of a standard subscription.
This service is available only in the following suburbs: Alfredton, Bakery Hill, Ballarat Central, Ballarat East, Ballarat North, Black Hill, Bonshaw, Brown Hill, Canadian, Delacombe, Eureka, Golden Point, Invermay Park, Lake Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Lucas, Mount Clear, Mount Pleasant, Nerrina, Newington, Redan, Sebastopol, Soldiers Hill, Wendouree, and Winter Valley.
Yes. Our detailed patrol reports, complete with GPS data, photos, and time stamps, can be used as supporting evidence for insurance claims and risk management.
Our officers are trained to deter, observe, and report. If trespassers are identified, the officer’s priority is to notify the control room, escalate the situation, and request police assistance where required.
Yes. You can move between Single, Double, and Triple Patrols, however changes can only be made at the end of the current month or at the start of a new monthly subscription. Please email us if you would like to request a change to your plan. Additional patrols can also be added during high-risk periods such as holidays or stock deliveries.
Yes. Subscription patrols run every day of the week, including weekends and public holidays.
The Same Day. In most cases, service can begin shortly after your subscription is confirmed and site details are finalised. We may call or email you to request additional information related to your property. Once we have the required details about your site, patrols can begin as soon as the same day.
Yes. Our 24/7 control room is always available via call and text to handle escalations, urgent enquiries, and incident notifications. If you need support outside of business hours, you can call our main number and you will be connected to a team member immediately.
Our patrol vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking monitored in real time by our control room, 360-degree cameras that record all patrol activities, warning lights for visibility and deterrence, two-way radios and push-to-talk systems for instant communication, and incident reporting software that allows officers to log and send patrol findings immediately. For remote or low-coverage areas, our vehicles are fitted with satellite backup internet and communications to ensure uninterrupted connectivity and reporting. This combination of technology guarantees that every patrol is transparent, recorded, and supported for maximum security outcomes.
At present, our subscription patrol service is only available in above mentioned suburbs. If your property is outside these suburbs, please contact us on admin@zprotectionservices.com.au to discuss customised patrol options.
Larger businesses, high-risk sites, and industrial facilities generally require a tailored service plan that may include static guards, frequent patrols, or tailored plan. Please contact us on admin@zprotectionservices.com.au for a customised proposal if your site falls into this category.
All of our patrol officers are fully licensed, experienced, and trained to carry out security patrols. They wear high-visibility uniforms, operate marked patrol vehicles, and are supported by our 24/7 control room to ensure safety and accountability at all times. All officers are equipped with body cameras and backup communication systems,
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Invoices are issued electronically, and payment can be made online via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Longer-term agreements may include additional inclusions such as complimentary signage or supervisor visits.
No. There are no cancellation fees. You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing us on admin@zprotectionservices.com.au, and your patrols will stop immediately or at the end of your current billing period.
Yes. Z Protection Services holds twenty million dollars in public liability insurance. Certificates of currency are available on our website for your records or for insurance and compliance purposes.
We maintain backup staff, vehicles, and resources to ensure patrols are completed even if unexpected issues arise. Our control room actively manages scheduling and redeployment so coverage is not interrupted. In the unlikely event that a site is missed due to our error, we will issue credits for that patrol as part of our service guarantee.
If patrols are missed due to our error and cannot be rescheduled, we provide credits or refunds for the affected service. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method or applied as a credit toward your next invoice, depending on your payment method.
No. Subscriptions cannot be paused. If you no longer require patrols, you can cancel at any time online orby emailing us. Patrols will continue until the end of your current billing cycle. You may then restart a new subscription when required.
Yes. Patrols run every night, including weekends and public holidays, unless you specifically request otherwise.
If your subscription includes alarm response, our control room will dispatch a patrol officer to attend the activation. If not included, you can still request a one-off alarm response at our standard alarm response rate.
Yes. For longer-term subscriptions, we can provide complimentary Z Protection Services security signage for your main entry points to reinforce deterrence.
Please email us on admin@zprotectionservices.com.au if you need to change or update your emergency contacts. For risk assessment purposes, emergency contacts must be available after hours and able to attend calls from our control room.
If our officers cannot safely access your site due to locked gates, blocked driveways, unsecured animals, or unsafe conditions, the patrol will be logged as attempted but not completed. No credits are issued in these situations.
Our subscription patrols are designed for residential and small business properties. Larger, industrial, or high-risk sites may require customised security solutions, including static guards or tailored patrol schedules. Please contact us for a proposal.
No. Subscriptions operate month-to-month. You can cancel at any time with no cancellation fees, and your patrols will continue until the end of the paid billing cycle.
Our control room coordinates patrols across multiple sites to ensure efficiency while maintaining coverage. Even if there are other properties in your area, your patrols will always be delivered as agreed and verified with proof of service reports.
Yes. If a group of neighbours or a community association would like patrols for multiple homes in the same area, we can provide a bulk quotation. This allows us to optimise patrol scheduling and pass on discounted pricing for group coverage. Please contact us to discuss your group’s needs.
Yes. When two or more neighbouring homes or small businesses subscribe at the same time, discounted rates may apply. This is because grouped sites reduce travel time and increase patrol efficiency. Please email us for a customised quotation for your block or street.
Yes. If you operate more than one property such as multiple shops, offices, or business locations, we can provide a tailored package with discounted subscription rates. No. Subscription patrols are external only and focus on visible deterrence, observation, and reporting. If you require internal checks such as lock and unlock routines, equipment checks, or walk-throughs, this can be arranged under a customised agreement outside of the standard subscription plans.
Yes. Before starting patrols, we review your site details to understand access points, entry doors, and any specific concerns. This helps us plan patrol routes and response procedures. While we are not providing a full compliance or OHS audit, our assessment is internal only and focuses on identifying the best way to patrol your property and ensure effective security coverage.

Unfortunately, e-Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The gift card can be redeemed when an invoice is sent by our accounts team. The recipient can quote their gift card number either via email or over the phone, and the amount will be applied to the invoice.
